Rotary Loughton Feel Good Fair

Great first Rotary Loughton Feel Good Fair. We were very fortunate with the weather, forecast this morning was for 80% rain. Thank you all our supporters including Loughton Town Council for the use of Loughton Recreation Ground & Loughton Town Mayor Cllr Stella Murphy.

Fascinating talk by our member, Kay Morrison, about her life in Fife as a Councillor and Deputy Provost of Fife.
Her career before politics was in Teaching and Education and she is passionate about improving attainment and life chances for all.
She still has passion and energy but now focused in Chigwell, Epping Forest, to make sure that our Local services, like education, after school clubs and local support are well funded and fit for purpose. We are very fortunate to have her supporting our community.

Memory Cafe

We hosted our free monthly Memory Cafe in Loughton for people with memory issues and their carers. It’s an activity session with singing, a quiz, bingo and games with free refreshments. We hold it every 2nd Friday of the month 10-12pm at The Loughton Club 8 Station Road, Loughton IG10 4NX. Everyone welcome. Please contact Pesh for further details 07973166940

New Honorary Member

Congratulations and a warm welcome to our newest member Geoff Towesy, careers adviser at West Hatch School. Geoff has been supporting Rotary for 6 years and we’re very pleased to have inducted him as an honorary member.
