The Rotary Clubs of Loughton & Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell staged another very successful Charity Concert, the 10th ‘Youth Makes Music’, on Friday, 28th February at Chigwell School.
There were performances from choirs at Loyola School and Staples Road Primary School; the Big Band from Chigwell School, vocal groups from Roding Valley High School; Debden Park High School; West Hatch High School; Modality’s Youth Choir; a dancing display by Footsteps Dance School and the evening ended with a traditional old time music hall performance from the East 15 Acting School with their Master of Ceremonies, Colin Sell.
A raffle, supported by local shops and businesses, was also held. We are delighted to report that, after costs, the evening raised £1,795.00 for Chigwell Riding Trust Riding Trust for Special Needs, Haven House Children’s Hospice, the Rotary Foundation (Rotary’s international charity), and other Rotary supported charities.
We done to ALL involved – but especially to Grahame and Mrya Williams!
